Unlike its first season, this is the first time that five (5) celebrities will be competing in the grand showdown. The final 5 are Sam Concepcion, Kean Cipriano, KZ Tandingan, Denise Laurel, and Michael Pangilinan.<br />

The 28th Awit Awards organized by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry or PARI announces the official finalists for the annual event recognizing the best in the music industry.<br />

RNB Princess Kyla leads the list with a total of 8 nominations including Best Performance by a Female Recording Artist, Song of the Year (Kunwa-Kunwari Lang) Best R&B Recording, Best Rock/Alternative Recording, Best Inspirational/Religious Recording (Salbabida) and three nominations for Technical Achievement for her song Kunwa-Kunwari Lang from her Journey album.<br />
