The 28th Awit Awards organized by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry or PARI announces the official finalists for the annual event recognizing the best in the music industry.

RNB Princess Kyla leads the list with a total of 8 nominations including Best Performance by a Female Recording Artist, Song of the Year (Kunwa-Kunwari Lang) Best R&B Recording, Best Rock/Alternative Recording, Best Inspirational/Religious Recording (Salbabida) and three nominations for Technical Achievement for her song Kunwa-Kunwari Lang from her Journey album.


Pop Royalty Sarah Geronimo who got the most number of nominations of the 27th Awit Awards follows Kyla with 5 nominations together with Gary Valenciano, KZ Tandingan, Darren Espanto, and Yeng Constantino.
