Kantar Media: ASAP 20 Scores Its First Win Against Sunday PinaSaya in National TV Ratings

After a couple of weeks of losing, ASAP 20 finally beats its rival show Sunday PinaSaya on Sunday, January 24, 2016.<br />
<br />
The Sunday Variety Show garnered 14.6% against PinaSaya's 13.7% based on the data gathered by Kantar Media.<br />

Meanwhile, noon time show It's Showtime continues to beat its rival show Eat Bulaga since January 11 (excluding Saturdays). It's Showtime garnered 17.8%  versus Eat Bulaga!'s 14.9% last Friday, January 22, 2016.<br />

Pilipinas Got Talent debuts strongly last Saturday with 25.5% ratings vs. it's rival's 12.1% last January 23 and 24.5% vs 12.9% last Sunday, January 24.<br />

Dance Kids rules the weekend programming last January 23, Saturday with a whopping 31.3% followed by drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya with 30.7% beating its rival show Magpakailanman with 23.5%<br />

However, it cannot be denied that Sunday PinaSaya gives ASAP 20 a real competition after beating three Sunday Noontime shows namely S.O.P, Party Pilipinas, and Sunday All Stars.<br />

According to Ai-Ai, the secret of Sunday PinaSaya's success is the right blend of cast and their undoubted popularity.<br />

It is no doubt that ABS-CBN's ASAP 20 is the undisputed Sunday noontime musical-variety show where it beats several shows from the rival network namely "Sobrang Okay Pare", "Party Pilipinas", and "Sunday All-Stars".<br />

But now that it has a new rival show "Sunday PinaSaya" which has a format similar to Eat Bulaga (Both are from TAPE Inc), it seems that ASAP 20 consider its new rival show a threat to their 20 years of existence.<br />
<br />
Despite the fact that ASAP 20 provides world-class performances every Sunday, it is very noticeable that it's now becoming a "Sunday Game Show", and is following the format of Sunday PinaSaya. Something that most viewers of ASAP 20 don't like, even one of the main host himself Martin Nievera.<br />

Today is the launch of GMA Network's newest noon-time show which is set to change the game of variety shows every Sunday.<br />

Sunday PinaSaya, hosted by Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas and Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, airs today on the noontime block competing with ABS-CBN's ASAP 20.<br />

Sunday PinaSaya will be 70 percent more on comedy sketches and 30 percent production numbers, as reported by entertainment site <a href="http://www.pep.ph/guide/photos/7548/ai-ai-delas-alas-differentiates-sunday-pinasaya-hindi-po-concert-concert-lang" rel="nofollow">PEP.PH.</a><br />
