Warrant of Arrest Issued by Cebu RTC Against Neri Naig-Miranda and ex-Star Magic Road Manager Over Libel Case

<br /> The Regional Trial Court (RTC) of Cebu City issued a warrant of arrest yesterday, February 11, against actress Neri Naig, wife of Parokya ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda, and ex-Star Magic road manager Danilyn Nunga. This is in connection with Danilyn's Instagram post last April 30, 2015 where in a photo of Clarence Taguiam and Donna Marie Go, is accused as "Bogus Online Seller" after buying a Go Pro Hero 3.<br /> <br /> The said Instagram photo was reposted by Neri on her IG account.<br /> <br /> Donna Marie and Clarence filed a libel case against Neri and Danilyn under R.A. 10175 or Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012. The case was then filed in October 2015.<br /> <br /> Though the post was deleted by Neri and Danilyn and the latter requested to delay the court proceedings and asked for re-investigation, Judge Macabaya declined her request according to his two-page order that states:<br /> <i><br /></i> <i>"The grounds asserted by Nunga that she was deprived of due process for they were not afforded a preliminary investigation or not given the opportunity to submit a counter affidavit deserves a scant consideration."</i><br /> <br /> <a href="http://www.pep.ph/news/62130/cebu-rtc-orders-arrest-of-neri-naig-ex-star-magic-road-manager-over-libel-case" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">source</a>
