It's Showtime is once again back on track after it introduced "Tawag ng Tanghalan" (TnT) early this year. TNT used to be ABS-CBN's most popular talent search show from 1955 to 1972 and 1987 to 1988. The show created the careers of Nora Aunor and Edgar Mortiz.

Now, the new Tawag ng Tanghanan is considered as Its' Showtime's most-awaited segment and the bread and butter of the show's increasing ratings.

Not to be outdone, the longest-running noon time show on Philippine TV, Eat Bulaga, launches its new segment to battle TNT and regain its lead.

We all can't deny that the AlDub fever subsides and viewers need something new from their beloved noon time show. That's why on February 1st, Eat Bulaga introduced "Just Duet", a song competition wherein the contestant sings with a popular singer via split screen, similar to an app called Smule. And just like "Tawag ng Tanghalan" the contestants are being judged by celebrity judges, mostly Dabarkads like Ruby Rodriguez, Allan K, Patricia Tumulak, Pambansang Bae Alde Richards, and Traffic Diva Aicelle Santos.

Though these new segments are both singing contest, they both have their own concept and is cater to different audience.

Will "Just Duet" be able to regain the high ratings Eat Bulaga received during AlDub phenomenon? Or will "Tawag ng Tanghalan" continue to retain It's Showtime's ratings?

You may want to switch channels from time to time if you're curious about the two segments of each noon time shows. You'll be judge which one is better and which one is just a copycat.
