International sportswear company Nike ended their connection with Filipino Boxing Champ Manny Pacquiao with regards to his statement against the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) community.

In an interview aired on TV5, Pacquiao gave his opinion regarding same-sex marriage to which the Saranggani Congressman stated, "Mas mabuti pa yung hayop, marunong kumilala kung lalaki, lalaki, o babae, babae. Kung sa lalaki sa lalaki, babae sa babae, e mas masahol pa sa hayop ang tao."

Netizens who are member and non-member of LGBT got mad at the senatorial candidate and expressed their disgusts and disappointments to the People's Champ.

The 37-year-old boxer apologized on national TV but remain loyal to his words that he's against same-sex marriage as this is based in the bible.

With the power of social media, Pacman's 'homophobic' statement reached the international press. An online petition for Nike to drop Pacquiao as their endorser happened to which Nike granted the public's clamor and ended their connection with Manny Pacquiao.

Nike's statement reads, "We no longer have a relationship with Manny Pacquiao"

Pacquiao was Nike's endorser since 2006.

Unfortunately, the 6-year relationship ended because of Pacman's statement.
