The half of JaDine, Nadine Lustre, is clueless about the issue that ABS-CBN is molding her and James Reid as the counterpart of the phenomenal love team AlDub composing of Alden Richards and Maine "Yaya Dub" Mendoza.
Lustre was surprised when she was asked about the said issue in the thanksgiving press-con for JaDine's On The Wings of Love last Monday, October 12, held at the 9501 restaurant of ELJ Building in ABS-CBN.
Nadine said, "Pangtapat? We're not trying to ano, e... This is the first time na narinig ko po yan."
The success of On The Wings of Love is considered phenomenal not only in the country but in every part of the world via TFC or The Filipino Channel. It is also the most watched TV program in IWantTV. This may be the reason why the said teleserye is extended until February 2016.
But of course, AlDub is even more considered phenomenal because of its record-breaking Twitter hashtags and a lot of endorsements. The charm of Alden and the wacky side of Maine is a perfect combination for the fans to go "gaga" over the Kalyeserye Love Team.
Nadine insists, "We're not competing naman. We don't look at things na parang ganun...Hindi naman po competition ang tingin namin.. Kasi po we're all the same... Pare-parehas po kami ng henerasyon."
