It's now official! The Kalyeserye and Eat Bulaga's phenomenal love team, AlDub, is now considered a "Global Phenomenon" the social media site Twitter!
Twitter Asia Pacific and Middle East Vice President Rishi Jaitly issued a statement regarding AlDub that reads:
"Aldub is a global phenomenon on Twitter and shows how our platform as the social soundtrack to TV has really connected Filipinos who love a good love story. We can’t wait to see if the live, public Aldub conversation can set global records by uniting their passionate fans, the nation, and the world on Twitter."
With 26 million tweets for the hashtag #ALDubEBforLOVE in Eat Bulaga's September 26 episode, it almost break the record of 28.5 million global tweets which is owned by Super Bowl XLIX in February.
If others still doubt that AlDub is not popular, think again.
