"Beautiful Strangers" is the second teleserye to rival ABS-CBN's Pangako Sa 'Yo, which started airing in May 2015, starring Jodi Sta. Maria, Angelica Panganiban and Ian Veneracion, together with loveteam Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. It can be remembered that GMA's first attempt to match PSY was with the now defunct teleserye "Let The Love Begin" topbilled by Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid.
