The love story of Popo and Basha still exists despite pitting against Katniss Everdeen's power. John Lloyd Cruz' and Bea Alonzo's "A Second Chance" opens with a bang, earning P18 million as of 5p.m Wednesday, November 25. This is a big amount considering that Hollywood film "Mocking Jay Part 2" is now on its second week of airing.

"A Second Chance" is a sequel to the 2007 drama film "One More Chance" and tells the story of Popoy (John Lloyd) and Basha (Bea) whom after a couple of years, opened a new chapter of their lives through marriage.

Joining the cast of "A Second Chance" are the original "barkada" of Popoy and Basha: Dimples Romana, James Blanco, Bea Saw, Janus Del Prado, and Ahron Villena.

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, "A Second Chance" is now showing in more than 350 theaters worldwide.

UPDATE: A Second Chance earns a total of P43.3 Million on its opening day.
