Ratings: 9 Out of 10 Most Watched Programs in May 2016 Come from ABS CBN

Nine out of 10 programs in the most watched programs in May 2016 came from the Kapamilya Network ABS CBN, according to ratings provider Kantar Media.<br />
<br />
Leading the pack is "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano", with a 41.1% average national tv rating. This was followed by singing talent search "The Voice Kids" which got 36.1%, and primetime teleserye "Dolce Amore" with 32.9%.<br />

The top 3 programs were followed by "Pilipinas Got Talent" with 32.8%, the longest drama anthology "MMK" with 30.1% and news program "TV Patrol" with 29.5%.<br />

Claiming the seventh spot is fantasy program "Wansapanataym" with 28.9% and comedy sitcom "Home Sweetie Home" with 23.7%. Magazine-show "Rated K" gets the 9th spot with 21.2%.<br />
<br />
"Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" is the only GMA program included in the top 10 with 20.8%.<br />

The Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo is out of The Voice Kids and guess who's replacing her? The one and only Megastar Sharon Cuneta.<br />

After Sarah officially announced that she's not returning as a coach and mentor in the talent search The Voice as she wants to focus on her talent as an artist, Sharon confirmed that she'll be joining The Voice Kids as one of the judges, joining Bamboo and Lea Salonga.<br />

The veteran singer-actress said she's excited to be one of the coaches of the third season of The Voice Kids.<br />
<br />
"<i>Sobrang excited ako. I will be part of 'The Voice Kids' with, of course, Bamboo and Lea Salonga</i>" said the Megastar in an interview with ABS-CBN News during her renewal of vows with husband Francis Pangilinan.<br />
<br />
Aside from that, Sharon also said that there's actually a really big surprise for her fans, the reason why she's not active on social media for quite a while.<br />
<br />
"<i>I've been hiding because I have been working on myself para i-surprise kayo. Hindi pa ako tapos but I have lost a lot of weight, preparing for something really big</i>"<br />
<br />
Sharon said that details are not yet allowed to be announced but it's definitely a huge surprise.<br />

In a series of tweets, Lea said that while they were watching the play, there were some audience who kept on burping and talking while the musical is ongoing. The Broadway Diva also said that some even used their mobile phones and worst, some were even singing with the cast.<br />

- Friends that saw Les Miz had people around them talking and burping. I guess some that could buy premium seats couldn’t afford class.<br />

- So, how does one teach a theater audience to turn off their phones, not sing along with the cast and not give loud commentary? #LotsToLearn<br />
<br />
- If you’re just going to glue your eyes to your phone instead of watching that play/musical, then stay home. No one likes a rude audience.<br />
<br />
- Also, the theater isn’t a karaoke bar. Try not to sing along. The rest of the audience paid to hear THE CAST sing. Not you.<br />
<br />
- This isn’t only about respecting the cast working hard on stage, but also respecting your fellow audience members and yourself.<br />

After two successful seasons of The Voice Kids, the talent show is set be back with a brand new season on ABS-CBN.<br />
<br />
Coaches Lea Salonga and Bamboo, coaches from seasons 1 and 2 are now busy shooting for the show. Broadway Superstar Lea Salonga apologizes for moving the tapings' schedule as she got sick, thus, affecting the shoot of the 3rd season of The Voice Kids.<br />
<br />
Lea also mentioned how it's like working with rockstar Bamboo.<br />
<br />
"He's (Bamboo) that I know I can banter with and debate with, if he will not be included to the show perhaps, I won't participate either."<br />
<br />
Salonga also expressed her opinions when asked by  if Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo will still be part of The Voice.<br />
<br />
"I can't comment on that right now, there might be changes but I just let ABS-CBN handle all of that."<br />
<br />
Rumors have it the the Popstar Royalty will not be included in the 3rd season of The Voice Kids, but of course, this can be true or not.<br />

Elha Nympha, 11, garnered 42.16% of the votes in the final results night of the said competition of ABS-CBN. Nympha bested crowd favorite Reynan Dal-Anay of Team Lea who was the top notcher in last week's competition. Dal-Anay got 31.64% of the total votes. Esang de Torres, also from Team Lea received 18.16% of the votes while Team Bamboo's Sassa Dagdag got 8.04% of the votes.<br />
<br />
Elha was awarded a recording contract with MCA Music Philippines, a musical instrument package, P100,000 worth of shopping spree from Mossimo Kids, Brand new Isuzu Crosswind, P2,000,000 wort of house and lot from Camella Homes, P1,000,000 trust fund from PLDT Telpad, and P1 million cash.<br />

Top 4 Young Artists of The Voice Kids Season 2 Named

Six young artists with big dreams vied for the top 4 in the semi-finals round of reality talent-search competition The Voice Kids, held last night, August 23, 2015 at the NewPort Performing Arts of Resorts World Manila.<br />

32.98% of votes were received by Reynan Dal-Anay who performed "Itanong Mo sa Mga Bata" popularized by "Asin".<br />
<br />
Mini Me of Lea Salonga's Esang De Torres came second with 19.24% with her rendition of the OPM classic "Salamat, Salamat Musika"<br />
<br />
Reynan and Essang are both part of Team Lea.<br />
<br />
Two kids who made it to the top 4 came from Camp Kawayan group or Team Bamboo. Elha Nympha got 18.23% of the votes with her performance of "You'll Never Walk Alone" while Sassa Dagdag made it to the fourth spot with 13.71% with her song "If I Were a Boy".<br />
<br />
Unfortunately, none of the kids from Team Sarah were chosen to be on the top 4. Zephanie Dimaranan and Kyle Echarri got the lowest number of votes and were eliminated from The Voice Kids season 2.<br />

After the performance, coach Bamboo and Sarah choose Jonalyn.<br />

<i>"...consistency, vocally, sa inyong tatlo, sa nota, hindi masakit sa tenga ko. May nag-stand out sa akin sa inyong tatlo, na 'yung makulay 'yung boses niya. I would pick Jonalyn"</i> said Coach Bamboo.<br />
<br />
<i>"Kayo 'yung ilan sa pinakabata sa Team Lea, pero talagang pwede kayong makipaglaban din sa mga mas matatanda sa inyo dahil magaling kayong makinig, magaling lahat kayong kumanta...Pero battle round nga ito, ayoko nito, ayoko na,"</i> said Coach Lea.<br />

Lea eventually picked Pepito to move on to the next round of competition.<br />

Reality singing competition The Voice Kids reaches its all time high ratings of 45.2% on its July 12 episode, beating its rival shows "Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho" with 20.1% and TV5's "No Harm No Foul" with 2.3% and "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" with 1.4%.<br />
<br />
The Voice Kids aired its last two audition episodes last weekend and will now proceed to the battle rounds to be aired starting this weekend.<br />
<br />
Amor Powers' return in ABS-CBN's "Pangako Sa Yo" also reaches the show's high rating of 38.5% versus GMA's "Let the Love Begin" with 14.1% and "The Rich Man's Daughter" with 11.3% and TV5's "Wattpad Presents" with 2.5%. The fictional and epic character of Amor Powers is portrayed by Ms. Jodi Sta. Maria.<br />
<br />
Spiritual-Drama series "Nathaniel" also beats "Pari 'Koy", and TV5's "Movie Max 5" with 39.3%, 15.1% and 6.3% respectively.<br />
<br />
Even the longest drama anthology MMK reaches 37.2%  surpassing GMA's "Celebrity Bluff" and TV5's "Kispinoy the K-Pop Philippines" with 15.1% and 2.2% respectively.<br />

The ratings are based on Nationwide data by Kantar Media.<br />

The Voice Kids maintain its supremacy on weekends after its first three episodes registered high ratings, surpassing ABS-CBN's ratings records for 2015.<br />
<br />
The blind audition episodes aired on June 20, 2015 registered a national TV rating of 39.9% and even got a higher rating on June 21 with 40.4%. These records were a repeat from previous episodes aired on June 13 and 14 with 39.9% and 40.7% respectively.<br />
<br />
It's been a while for our local network to reach above 40% ratings for locally produced programs, thus, this is another milestone for ABS-CBN.<br />
<br />
The Voice Kids airs on Saturday nights before MMK and Sunday nights after Goin Bulilit. The said reality show features Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo Manalac and Lea Salonga as coaches for this season's next kid superstar.<br />

Sarah Geronimo said that the song was not overly done<i>. "Gustong gusto ko kung paano mo kinanta 'yung song. Hindi siya overly done, maganda 'yung pagkabali mo sa parts. Natutuwa ako at gustong gusto ko 'yung mga ganoong bata na may sariling paraan kung paano ibahin 'yung song,".</i><br />

A former Mini-me contestant in the noontime show "It's Showtime", Esang sings her rendition of "Home" from Broadway musical The Wiz.<br />

The Voice Kids coach Lea Salonga instantly recognizes her saying, "I knew it. My mini me is here!"<br />

Coaches Sarah and Bamboo try to win Esang and Sarah even brings the trophy of The Voice Kids saying that the season 1 grand winner Lyca and runner-up Darren were in her team.<br />

However, Esang chooses Lea as coach, saying that Lea's her idol.<br />
