Korean Teen Heartthrob Yohan Hwang is the First 'I Love OPM' Winner

Korean college student Yohan Hwang emerges as the first grand winner of ABS-CBN's singing competition 'I Love OPM' held last night, April 23, 2016 at the Resorts World Manila, Pasay City. 
 
A head-turner living in the Philippines, Hwang decided to dropped his "cute-style" persona and sings a serious ballad "Wag Ka Nang Umiyak" as his final song in the grand finals performance.

Hwang has won a one-year recording contract with Star Music along with other prizes and a whopping 2 million pesos. Hwang beats American singer Ryan Gallagher, Pakistan's Harris Dio, and fellow Koreans K-Rock Group J Morning.

Toni Gonzaga commended Hwang for his performance, "Nagpatunay ka ngayong gabi kasi nage-expect kami na pakikiligan mo kami, ise-serenade mo kami pero iyong binigay mong performance sa amin, ramdam na ramdam ko ang bawat salitang binigkas mo. I feel you!"

Concert King Martin Nievera rounded up the comments saying, "You proved to us tonight that Yohan loves OPM!" 
 
Yohan got the highest number of votes of 32.82% followed by J Morning with 23.42%, Ryan with 23.27% and Dio with 20.50%.

I Love OPM Grand Finals All Set on Saturday; Top 4 Touristars Compete for the Final Showdown

I Love OPM's Top 4 Touristars are all set for the grand finale to be held this Saturday, April 23 at the Resorts World Manila, Pasay City. 
 
The stage will give each touristars the chance to become the first winner of ABS-CBN's original singing competition for 100% non-Filipinos but really love Filipino music.

Dio Smith from Pakistan, Ryan Gallagher from U.S.A, and Yohan Hwang and J-Morning from Korean captured the hearts not only of the himigration officers Toni, Lani and Martin, but also the heart of the audience and televiewers. With different type of music genre, each judges have something to say about the four Touristars. 
 
Lani Misalucha commended Dio's rock star image saying, "no doubt about it, you truly make us happy and proud when it comes to rock and roll". 
 
While Yohan's always a charmer, Martin Nievera has one piece of advice to him: cute is not forever. "Level up your singing and your performances", he said. 
 
On the other hand, K-Rock band J-Morning gets praises from Toni Gonzaga saying, "Everytime you step on stage, you choose songs from different genres giving us a different experience each time". 
 
Not to be left behind, balladeer Ryan Gallagher proves that he deserves the slot for the grand finals. 
 
"I was unsure about Ryan the first two rounds but he showed us he belongs here; he showed me how good he really is," Lani said.

Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual confirms that their taping for the drama series "Written In Our Stars" is currently on hold.

"For now, yes, we're not sure what's gonna happen...Of course, we have to respect Tin (Toni's nickname) kasi di naman natin pwedeng pigilan yun... So we're just here, no matter what happens. Hintay lang tayo." the 39-year-old actor said. 
 
It can be remembered that last Sunday, Toni announced that she'll finally have a baby during the variety show ASAP 20. 
 
Piolo said that she learned about Toni's pregnancy just this Sunday as well. 
 
"Nalaman ko lang noong Sunday, salamat naman... We never had a chance to talk and I know what she was going through as well... But, you, know, I'll always support Tin because she's a good friend. 
 
Most of the artists included in Written In Our Stars have other projects: Sam Mily is part of Doble Kara, while Jolina Magdangal has a morning show "Magandang Buhay". 
 
Piolo is a mainstay of ASAP while Toni can be watched on Home Sweetie Home and I Love OPM as one of the judges.

Speculations regarding host-actress Toni Gonzaga's pregnancy has finally ended as the multimedia superstar announced the good news on ASAP last Sunday, April 17, 2016. 
 
After her song number on the said variety show, Toni was joined by her sister Alex and co-hosts Luis Manzano and Piolo Pascual.

Toni said, "Mga kapamilya, ispesyal po sa puso ko ang ASAP kasi 2004 nung una po ako ni launch bilang Kapamilya, dito kop o yun ginawa sa ASAP. . Nung first birthday ko dito sa ABS-CBN, dito ko din sinelebrate sa ASAP. First album ko, first movie at first time na sinelebrate yun engagement ko, dito ko rin po ginawa. And then nung ikakasal ako, dito ko din inannounce." 
 
"I’m so happy that finally our love story [Ni Paul] ay nagbunga na and yes, God finally opened my womb and I’m expecting my first child", Toni continued. 
 
Toni even shared that it was her sister Alex who first learned about the good news. 
 
When asked if she'll be taking a break from her career, Toni replied, "Gagawin pa din natin yung mga commitment natin, pero eventually medyo we will take it slow this time. Pero ah, I just wanna really enjoy the moment and it took me some time [to announce] kasi I was waiting for my doctor’s approval, na it’s a go, that I can finally say ‘I’m pregnant!"

Wagner, who came to the Philippines as suggested by his Filipino friend, amazes Concert King Martin Nievera, Asia's Nightingale Lani Misalucha, and Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga, with his rendition of the said song. 
 
"Very nice. It's a very hard song to sing." Martin told Wagner 
 
"Powerful, kagaya ng napanood naming performance sa iyo. Nangusap sa aming puso ang iyong ipinakita at ipinarinig na pag-awit." Toni commented. 
 
I Love OPM airs every Saturdays right after "MM" and Sundays after "Rated K". The show is hosted by Anne Curtis and Eric Nicolas.

In the said event, actress Toni Gonzaga wins the Best Actress Award for the movie Starting Over Again while the Best Actor Award goes to Allen Dizon for "Magkakabaung". 
 
Tito, Vic, and Joey, also known as TVJ receives this year's FAMAS Lifetime Achievement Award while the Fernando Poe Jr. Memorial Award is given to Coco Martin.

To be directed by returning "Kapamilya" director Andoy Ranay, Milby will be joined by Toni Gonzaga, Piolo Pascual and Jolina Magdangal. The soap opera marks the reunion of Milby and Gonzaga as well as Toni and Piolo's team-up who were last seen in 2014 blockbuster movie "Starting Over Again". 
 
This is also Jolina's first time to work with the three actors. Magdangal is currently in an afternoon series "FlorDeliza" and was a finalist in the first season of "Your Face Sounds Familiar". 
 
"Written in Our Stars" is a wholesome, family-oriented and full of moral values "teleserye", according to Toni Gonzaga. 
 
"Written in Our Stars" is set to air this year.
