The oldest award-giving body in the country, The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards or FAMAS reveals the winners of the 63rd edition last night, September 20 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.
Unlike Gawad Urian which is being decided by critics, FAMAS winners are being chosen by veteran writers and showbiz columnists.
In the said event, actress Toni Gonzaga wins the Best Actress Award for the movie Starting Over Again while the Best Actor Award goes to Allen Dizon for "Magkakabaung".
Tito, Vic, and Joey, also known as TVJ receives this year's FAMAS Lifetime Achievement Award while the Fernando Poe Jr. Memorial Award is given to Coco Martin.
