The night of September 15, 2015 in social media becomes disturbing as hashtag #BugawSerye suddenly starts trending on Twitter. The hashtag was a result of the noontime show It's Showtime that features a girl named Angelica Jane Yap, known as "Pastillas Girl" looking for her "Mr. Pastillas". Yap was discovered via her video showing how to make pastillas but the real message was about his boyfriend who cheated on her.
Pastillas girl was actually a guest in Showtime's AdviceGanda but now appears regularly searcing for her Mr. Pastillas. The said segment shows the Showtime's hosts picking the right guy for her.
Despite the so-called "kilig" of the hosts, most netizens are not happy with how the noontime show presented the said segment thus, haghtag #BugawSerye trends.
This is trending because viewers saw that there's something wrong about the segment. No hate tweets. They're just stating facts. #BugawSerye

This is not hate. As an audience we have the right to demand quality material. You give trash you get trash. #BugawSerye

Let us all be honest, don't you think its unfair for the girl to be treated like a GRO in national TV, hnahanapan ng lalake #BugawSerye
