ABS-CBN's bankable actors John Lloyd Cruz and Piolo Pascual are set to do a film together for award-winning director Lav Diaz.
Director-Producer Paul Soriano just announced the news on his Instagram account. The film has the working title "Hele sa Hiwagang Hapis" which will be produced by Soriano's TEN17P productions along with Star Cinema.

Piolo and John Lloyd already started shooting their first scenes in Sorsogon, according to Soriano. Also, Soriano, as quoted by a Philippine Daily Inquirer article, said that Piolo and John Lloyd felt "strongly about being part of this film, a longtime dream project that Diaz has been working on for years."
PEP.ph reports that the movie is described as follows:
It is a sorrowful mystery that marries Literature (the missing chapters of El Filibusterismo), Mythology (tikbalangs), and History (Oryang's 30-day search for the lost body of Andres Bonifacio).
The film will also star Sid Lucero, Alessandra de Rossi, Angel Aquino, Cherrie Gil, Ronnie Lazaro, Nonie Buencamino, Hazel Orencio and Ely Buendia among others.
