Star Cinema's 'Beauty and the Bestie" is Now the Highest-Grossing Filipino Film of All Time

Star Cinema has now declared "Beauty and the Bestie" as the highest-grosing Filipino film of all time surpassing John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo's "A Second Chance".<br />
<br />
The announcement was made on January 13, 2016 by Star Cinema itself and according to the movie's director Wenn Deramas, Beauty and the Bestie already earn P481 Million as of January 12, an amount that even surpassed "Praybeyt Benjamin" which earned P456-million.<br />

The film stars the unkabogable Vice Ganda and the prince of teleserye Coco Martin, along with James Reid and Nadine Lustre also known as JaDine love team.<br />
<br />
However, Deramas says that Beauty and the Bestie is far behind "A Second Chance's" P556 million total gross if based from the film's international showing is to be considered.<br />
<br />
Deramas also reiterated that in the recently concluded MMFF 2015, the highest grosser is definitely their film and not the rival "My Bebe Love" as claimed by actress Ai Ai Delas Alas.<br />
<br />
"Hindi ko alam yung kanila, ang sigurado ako ‘yung sa amin. Mga taga-MMFF na ‘yung nagsasabi." Deramas said.<br />
<br />
Deramas also commented and denied the allegations of ticket-swapping and cheating.<br />
<br />
"Para saan? Yun ang tanong ko. Kung sakaling sabihin ko na kami ang number one at hindi naman talaga kami ang number one, sino ang niloloko namin, di ba?"<br />

The Metropolitan Development Authority or  MMDA finally announced on December 26, 2015 the box-office results and the top 4 movie entries of the 41st Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).<br />
<br />
Organizing Committee and MMDA Chairman Emerson Carlos reveals that Vice Ganda's Beauty and the Bestie, Vic Sotto's My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore, Kris Aquino's All You Need is Pag-ibig, and horror film Haunted Mansion are the top 4 MMFF movies on opening day.<br />
<br />
This year's opening-day gross reaches P150 Million compared to last year's P147 Million.<br />
<br />
Though MMDA chairman did not disclose the actual ranking of of the top 4 movies to protect the other films, GMA News reports that AlDub's first movie "My Bebe Love" already earned P60-million on the first day of the festival, making it the new record holder of the Biggest Opening for an MMFF Movie and the Biggest Opening for a Pinoy Film.<br />

"Si Yaya lang ang babae sa buhay ko" that's what the Pambansang Bae Alden Richards said in a press conference of his Movie with Maine Mendoza and Bossing Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai Delas Alas.<br />

On Wednesday, December 9, 2015, during the press conference of "My Bebe Love", Richards answered the question regarding  the real status of his lovelife to which he indeed voiced out the said statement.<br />
