In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal or PEP.ph last Wednesday, June 8, 2016, Vice Ganda told the press that he and Kris Aquino are okay despite supporting different candidates in the recent Presidential election.<br />

"Walang isyu eversince. Hindi naman kinakailangan na pare-pareho ng opinyon, na pare-pareho ng paniniwala. May mga differences tayo and we all just have to accept that."<br />
<br />
Vice Ganda is a known supporter of President-Elect Rodrigo Duterte while Kris Aquino supports Liberal Party's standard bearer Mar Roxas and Leni Robredo.<br />

The "DU31: One Love, One Nation Thanksgiving Party" was held at the Crocodile Park Concert Grounds attended by approximately 500,000 participants.<br />
<br />
The said thanksgiving bash was hosted by Bayani Agbayani, Arnell Ignacio, and Kat De Castro.<br />
<br />
Among the celebrities who performed in the thanksgiving party are Sarah Lahbati, Anton Diva, Arron Villafor, Carlos Agassi, Gladys Guevarra, Paolo Santos, Jimmy Bondoc, and Andrew E. Talents from Davao, Visayas and Mindanao also showed their performances.<br />

However, host-comedian Vice Ganda wasn't able to perform in the said event because of power interruption due to heavy rain. However, Vice Ganda still went up the stage to greet the Davaeños.<br />

Coming in at 2nd place is Mariana Puala Madrigal aka Amazing Pyra, who got 66.57%, followed by magician Ody Sto. Domingo with 50.61%.<br />

The announcement of winners was lead by PGT 5 judges Vice Ganda, Angel Locsin, Freddie Garcia, and Robin Padilla.<br />
<br />
Power Duo's Anjanette and Gervin are acrobatic dancesport performers residing in Angono Rizal.<br />
<br />
The couple interpreted the song "Ikaw Lamang" which earned them a standing ovation from all the judges<br />
<br />
Vice Ganda commended the two, "Sa mundong punung-puno ng hinanakit, pinaniwala ninyo ako sa pag-ibig. That was not just dance. That's love. Tonight, love wins."<br />

In an open letter that goes viral in social media, the issue regarding Vice Ganda humiliating broadcast journalist Jessica Soho in 2013, comes back to life.<br />
<br />
C.N. Sato, the one who wrote the open letter said, "Vice Ganda do you remember when you compared Ms. Jessica Soho to a pig?"<br />
<br />
The author continued, "Now Manny Pacquiao made a statement saying LGBTs are worst than animal... You were offended, maraming tao ang nasaktan... You started the hashtag #‎PrayForMannyPacquiao and told everyone to not vote him... Manny apologizes for the words he uses pero pinanindigan pa din ang pinapaniwalaan niya."<br />

Sato added, "Now let's see the bigger picture here, I, myself is Pro LGBT. I know Manny made a mistake but who do you think is the real person here?"<br />
<br />
However, Vice Ganda fires back to his bashers via Twitter.<br />
<br />
"A joke of a comedian is different from a statement of a politician" Vice Ganda tweeted.<br />
<br />
"So why take a joke seriously and take a serious statement as a joke?", he added.<br />
<br />
Vice Ganda also reminded his followers and bashers, "I am not the issue. This is not about me... Don't divert the issue."<br />

A group of students auditioned for Pilipinas Got Talent season 5 in order to help rebuild their school.<br />
<br />
Hail from Eastern Samar, The Eastern Samar States University-Salcedo Campus Dance Troups were one of the Yolanda survivors. Painted with blue body paint, the students performed an Avatar-inspired routine.<br />
<br />
Despite their performance being enjoyable, PGT judges Freddie Garcia and Vice Ganda both agreed that their routine is still half-baked or "hilaw".<br />
<br />
Vice Ganda explained, <i>"Kumbaga sa deep-fried chicken, kulang pa sa kulo 'yung mantika para maluto kayo. 'Yung 'pag tiningnan mo, 'Ay, ang sarap sarap na ng manok na'to, lutong-luto na.' Pero 'pag hiniwa mo, may dugo pa sa loob. At 'pag may dugo pa sa loob, ibig sabihin, hilaw pa,"</i><br />
<br />
The dance group gets a nod from Robin Padilla and Angel Locsin but failed to move on to the next round as they should need to have at least 3 Yes from the judges.<br />
<br />
Although they got a disapproval from Freddie Garcia and Vice Ganda, the group receives 300 thousand peso-donation from Vice Ganda, Freddie Garcia, and Angel Locsin, to help them rebuild their school.<br />

Judge Angel Locsin said, <i>"Alam niyo, watching you is like a slice of heaven. Sobrang galing ninyo. Hindi lang kayo nagpakita ng bago. Ako parang natakot ako para sa buhay niya. Ang galing niyo,"</i><br />

<i>"Yung ginawa niyo, kaya maganda ang epekto sa amin, kasi nararamdaman namin 'yung istorya. May sincerity. May sincerity sa haplos, may sincerity sa tinginan. Totoo 'yung istorya. Damang-dama namin"</i> said the Unkabogable Vice Ganda.<br />

The judges gave the two time to express their feelings to one another befor Padilla pressed the Golden Buzzer which earned the Dynamic Duo a slot to PGT's semi-finals.<br />

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 5 Returns This Saturday on ABS-CBN

The world class talent search "Pilipinas Got Talent" returns on Philippine TV beginning this Saturday, January 23 on ABS-CBN.<br />

Now on its 5th season, PGT searches for the best Pinoy acts in the country. Hosted by the duo Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford, the newest season of PGT welcomes a new set of judges. Joining resident judge Freddie "FMG" Garcia in the panel of judges are award winning actress Angel Locsin, Idol Robin Padilla, and the unkabogable box-office star Vice Ganda.<br />

The 5th season will now use the Golden Buzzer which allow the judges to press it if they want the act to go straight to the semi-finals.<br />

The live auditions of PGT was held last week at the KIA Theater in Cubao and will go around different parts of the country to search for the best and outstanding talents.<br />
<br />
It was in 2010 when PGT premiered in the Philippines in which the first grand winner Jovit Baldovino was named. Marcelito Pomoy emerged as the grand champion in the second season of the reality talent show while Maasinhon Trio and Roel Manlangit were named champions in the 3rd and 4th season of PGT respectively.<br />

Star Cinema has now declared "Beauty and the Bestie" as the highest-grosing Filipino film of all time surpassing John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo's "A Second Chance".<br />
<br />
The announcement was made on January 13, 2016 by Star Cinema itself and according to the movie's director Wenn Deramas, Beauty and the Bestie already earn P481 Million as of January 12, an amount that even surpassed "Praybeyt Benjamin" which earned P456-million.<br />

The film stars the unkabogable Vice Ganda and the prince of teleserye Coco Martin, along with James Reid and Nadine Lustre also known as JaDine love team.<br />

However, Deramas says that Beauty and the Bestie is far behind "A Second Chance's" P556 million total gross if based from the film's international showing is to be considered.<br />
<br />
Deramas also reiterated that in the recently concluded MMFF 2015, the highest grosser is definitely their film and not the rival "My Bebe Love" as claimed by actress Ai Ai Delas Alas.<br />
<br />
"Hindi ko alam yung kanila, ang sigurado ako ‘yung sa amin. Mga taga-MMFF na ‘yung nagsasabi." Deramas said.<br />
<br />
Deramas also commented and denied the allegations of ticket-swapping and cheating.<br />
<br />
"Para saan? Yun ang tanong ko. Kung sakaling sabihin ko na kami ang number one at hindi naman talaga kami ang number one, sino ang niloloko namin, di ba?"<br />

The news was revealed by GMA News' Instagram account. But of course, aside from AlDub, the kalyeserye sisters/trio JoWaPao - Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Paolo Ballesteros will also be receiving their stars at the Walk of Fame. The trio gives life to Eat Bulaga's Kalyeserye as Lola Nidora, Tidora, and Tinidora.<br />

GMA artists Julie Anne San Jose and Jake Vargas will also receive their Walk of Fame Stars this year. They are currently being seen in GMA's Buena Familia.<br />

The local counterpart of Hollywoods' Walk of Fame, as mentioned earlier, is an idea of Master Showman himself German Moreno aka Kuya Germs, aiming to commend artists' contributions in the local showbiz industry.<br />

The Walk of Fame is already on its tenth year since it started last December 1st, 2005. Last year, several celebrities receive their own Walk of Fame stars namely Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, Tom Rodriguez, Willie Revillame, and the Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda.<br />

Comedian and Host Vice Ganda is the big winner of the award-giving body as he grabs 4 awards including Novelty Song of the Year, Concert of the Year, Male Concert Performer of the Year, and tying with Gloc 9 as Male Recording Artist of the Year.<br />

Kyla was beaten by James Reid in the category R&B Artist of the Year but the R&B Queen grabbed the R&B Album of the Year for her album Journey.<br />

The Pop Album of the Year and Album Cover Concept and Design of the Year go to Darren Espanto for his self-titled album.<br />

Movie fanatics will truly enjoy this year's Metro Manila Film Festival, as MMFF features the battle of the country's most popular love teams: JaDine in Vice Ganda and Coco Martin's movie "Beauty and the Bestie", and the phenomenal love team AlDub (Alden Richards and Maine "Yaya Dub" Mendoza) in Vic Sotto - Ai-ai Delas Alas tandem "My Bebe Love".<br />

Now, popular love team KimXi (Kim Chiu and Xian Lim) joins the love team war for MMFF as they will be part of the MMFF movie entry starring Kris Aquino entitled "All You Need is Pag-ibig".<br />

KimXi replaces LizQuen in the movie as part of the changes in the film and due to the actors' availability. The title also changes from "Mr. And Mrs Split". Mayor Herbert Bautista, however, will still be a part of the movie.<br />
