The viewers and the judges have spoken and they have chosen Power Duo as the grand winners of  the recently concluded Pilipinas Got Talent Season 5, held at the Mall of Asia Arena, May 22, 2016. This is the first time in PGT history that the champion is not a singer.<br />
<br />
Power Duo receives 100% from the judges' and public votes combined. The couple brings home 2 million pesos.<br />

Coming in at 2nd place is Mariana Puala Madrigal aka Amazing Pyra, who got 66.57%, followed by magician Ody Sto. Domingo with 50.61%.<br />

The announcement of winners was lead by PGT 5 judges Vice Ganda, Angel Locsin, Freddie Garcia, and Robin Padilla.<br />
<br />
Power Duo's Anjanette and Gervin are acrobatic dancesport performers residing in Angono Rizal.<br />
<br />
The couple interpreted the song "Ikaw Lamang" which earned them a standing ovation from all the judges<br />
<br />
Vice Ganda commended the two, "Sa mundong punung-puno ng hinanakit, pinaniwala ninyo ako sa pag-ibig. That was not just dance. That's love. Tonight, love wins."<br />

After few months of airing, Game ng Bayan, will air its final episode this Friday, April 16, 2016.<br />
<br />
In a press statement of Kapamilya Network, ABS-CBN thanked the hosts Robin Padilla, Alex Gonzaga, MJ Lastioma, Eric Nicolas, and Negi, as well as the people behind the show and the viewers for supporting the said program.<br />
<br />
It's pretyy obvious that the game show didn't produce much results when it comes to ratings war as it was beaten by rival show Wowowin hosted by Willie Revillame on GMA Network.<br />
<br />
ABS-CBN however promises to continue and develop programs that will bring joy and cheers to barangays across the country.<br />
<br />
Robin Padilla still can be seen in Pilipinas Got Talent Season 5 while the rest of the hosts will be given other projects to attend to.

Crossover Family is then selected by the four judges Freddie Garcia, Robin Padilla, Angel Locsin, and Vice Ganda unanimously which makes them the 2nd Grand Finalist of PGT. Crossover bested out Poor Voice, which has the 2nd number of votes.<br />
<br />
Next Option and Crossover Family also bested semifinalists Splitters, Baile de Luces of La Castellana, and Philip Galit.<br />

A group of students auditioned for Pilipinas Got Talent season 5 in order to help rebuild their school.<br />
<br />
Hail from Eastern Samar, The Eastern Samar States University-Salcedo Campus Dance Troups were one of the Yolanda survivors. Painted with blue body paint, the students performed an Avatar-inspired routine.<br />
<br />
Despite their performance being enjoyable, PGT judges Freddie Garcia and Vice Ganda both agreed that their routine is still half-baked or "hilaw".<br />
<br />
Vice Ganda explained, <i>"Kumbaga sa deep-fried chicken, kulang pa sa kulo 'yung mantika para maluto kayo. 'Yung 'pag tiningnan mo, 'Ay, ang sarap sarap na ng manok na'to, lutong-luto na.' Pero 'pag hiniwa mo, may dugo pa sa loob. At 'pag may dugo pa sa loob, ibig sabihin, hilaw pa,"</i><br />
<br />
The dance group gets a nod from Robin Padilla and Angel Locsin but failed to move on to the next round as they should need to have at least 3 Yes from the judges.<br />
<br />
Although they got a disapproval from Freddie Garcia and Vice Ganda, the group receives 300 thousand peso-donation from Vice Ganda, Freddie Garcia, and Angel Locsin, to help them rebuild their school.<br />
<br />
<i>"Kasi gusto kong makatulong sa eskwelahan niyo, kaya gusto ko sana mag-offer ng tulong sa eskwelahan niyo. Kasi iba 'yung 'yes,' iba 'yung... kasi hindi naman 'to Pilipinas Got Awa,"</i><br />

A dance duo from Angono Rizal becomes the first act to receive the "golden buzzer" from the judgest of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 5 on Sunday, January 24, 2016.<br />

Power Duo Anjanette and Gervin also receives a standing ovation from all of the judges because of their outstanding performance.<br />
<br />
Judge Angel Locsin said, <i>"Alam niyo, watching you is like a slice of heaven. Sobrang galing ninyo. Hindi lang kayo nagpakita ng bago. Ako parang natakot ako para sa buhay niya. Ang galing niyo,"</i><br />
<br />
<i>"Yung ginawa niyo, kaya maganda ang epekto sa amin, kasi nararamdaman namin 'yung istorya. May sincerity. May sincerity sa haplos, may sincerity sa tinginan. Totoo 'yung istorya. Damang-dama namin"</i> said the Unkabogable Vice Ganda.<br />
<br />
<i>"Hindi niyo magagawa 'yan kung hindi niyo mahal ang isa't isa"</i> said actor Robin Padilla.<br />
<br />
The judges gave the two time to express their feelings to one another befor Padilla pressed the Golden Buzzer which earned the Dynamic Duo a slot to PGT's semi-finals.<br />

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 5 Returns This Saturday on ABS-CBN

The world class talent search "Pilipinas Got Talent" returns on Philippine TV beginning this Saturday, January 23 on ABS-CBN.<br />
<br />
Now on its 5th season, PGT searches for the best Pinoy acts in the country. Hosted by the duo Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford, the newest season of PGT welcomes a new set of judges. Joining resident judge Freddie "FMG" Garcia in the panel of judges are award winning actress Angel Locsin, Idol Robin Padilla, and the unkabogable box-office star Vice Ganda.<br />

The 5th season will now use the Golden Buzzer which allow the judges to press it if they want the act to go straight to the semi-finals.<br />
<br />
The live auditions of PGT was held last week at the KIA Theater in Cubao and will go around different parts of the country to search for the best and outstanding talents.<br />
<br />
It was in 2010 when PGT premiered in the Philippines in which the first grand winner Jovit Baldovino was named. Marcelito Pomoy emerged as the grand champion in the second season of the reality talent show while Maasinhon Trio and Roel Manlangit were named champions in the 3rd and 4th season of PGT respectively.<br />

Replacing Robin Padilla as Ozawa's leading man is action star Cesar Montano. Padilla pulled out from the project last August to take care of his wife Marielle Rodriguez who was back then undergoing sensitive pregnancy.<br />
<br />
The movie also stars actress Meg Imperial and is set to open in theaters on December 25, 2015.<br />
<br />
In line with this, Parallax Pictures, Haunted Tower Pictures, Welovepost, in cooperation with Viva Films, finally released the teaser trailer of the horror-action movie "Nilalang".<br />

Ozawa, a former adult actress calls Padilla "unprofessional" after the latter announces his withdrawal ten days before the shooting starts.<br />

In an official statement released by Padilla's camp, the actor chooses to back-out in the project to take care of his wife Mariel Rodriguez who's now pregnant.<br />

The official 8 entries to the 41st Metro Manila Film Festival have been announced by The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority or MMDA last Saturday, June 20, 2015. The 8 films will be shown on December 25th, Christmas Day.<br />

As expected, the event will star MMFF veterans Bossing Vic Sotto, Unkabogable star Vice Ganda, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino, Comedy Concert Queen Ai Ai Delas Alas and action Star Robin Padilla.<br />

Joining the biggest stars are Coco Martin, Janine Gutierrez, Janella Salvador, Marlo Mortel and more.<br />
<br />
Adult film actress Maria Ozawa also joins this year's Film Festival.<br />
<br />
This year's entries consist of different genres including horror, comedy and fantasy.<br />
