The country's largest network, ABS-CBN is once again recognized as the Best TV Station in the Philippines at the 2016 Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for TV and Music. This is the company's 8th consecutive win since 2009.

The Kapamilya network not only bags the Best TV station award but also leads the award-giving body with their programs also being recognized in different categories.

"FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" is PMPC's Best Primetime Drama Series while lead actor Coco Martin wins the Best Drama Actor Award. Antagonist Arjo Atayde doubles the win of the drama series, winning as Best Drama Supporting Actor, tied with Aaron Villaflor for his work in "All of Me".

Child actors McNeal Briguela aka Aura and Simon Pineda were also named as Best Child Performer and Best New Male TV Personality, respectively.

"The Voice Kids 3" hosts Robi Domingo and Kim Chiu share the Best Talent Search Host award with Luis Manzano, who was also named Best Male TV Host and Best Game Show Host for "Kapamilya Deal or No Deal".

Not to be outdone, Anne Curtis was named Best Female TV Host for "It's Showtime" while Ria Atayde wins the Best New Female TV Personality.

Sunday Variety Show "ASAP" proves that it's still the show to beat as it bags the "Best Musical Variety Show" while "Goin Bulilit" bested its rivals after winning Best Gag Show. "Tonight With Boy Abunda" was awarded "Best Celebrity Talk Show" while Boy Abunda was named "Best Celebrity Talk Show Host" and "Best Public Affairs Program Host" for "The Bottomline".


Kapamilya singers and entertainers also lead the PMPC Star Awards for Music as Jed Madela and Jolina Magdangal were named as Best Male and Female Recording Artist while Janella Salvador bags the Best New Female Recording Artist of the Year.

Boygroup Hashtags of "It's Showtime" wins the Best Dance Album of the Year while the Unakabogable Box Office Star Vice Ganda was recognized for the Best Music Video of the Year.

The News and Public Affairs Department was not left behind as "TV Patrol" was recognized as "Best News Program", "Rated K" as "Best Magazine Show", and "Matanglawin" as "Best Educational TV Program". "Umagang Kay Ganda" hosts Atom Araullo, Amy Perez, Winnie Cordero, Jorge Carino, Ariel Ureta and Gretchen Ho, were named "Best Morning Show Hosts".
