Jake Cuenca Wins Best Actor for the Movie 'Mulat' at World Cinema Festival Brazil 2016

Last Sunday, Jaclyn Jose was named<a href="http://www.showbizexpose.com/2016/05/jaclyn-jose-is-cannes-2016s-best.html" target="_blank"> Best Actress f</a>or her role in 'Ma' Rosa' in the Cannes Film Festival which made every Filipino proud. Today, another Filipino actor brings home the bacon.<br />
<br />
Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca has another award to be added on his achievements. Cuenca was named Best Actor at the World Cinema Festival Brazil 2016 for the movie 'Mulat' which apparently also won as the Best Narrative Feature at the said festival.<br />
<br />
Directed by Diane Ventura, 'Mulat' is a pscyhologial thriller featuring a love triangle between a woman named Sam (Loren Burgos) and her fiance Vincent (Ryan Eigenmann), and her new man, Jake (Jake Cuenca).<br />
<br />
Aside from 'Mulat', Ventura's 'The Rapist' starring Marco Morales and Cherrie Gil was also included in the short film selection of the film festival.<br />

Star Magic posted a photo via his Instagram congratulating the Kapamilya actor for his acting award.<br />

One female and four males including one American National died after attending the said concert held last May 22, 2016.<br />
<br />
The victims were identified as Biance Fontejon, Ariel Leal, Lance Garcia, Ken Migaw and a male American. The said persons were found unconscious at different parts of the venue.<br />
<br />
Cuase of the deaths are still being under investigation as of this writing.<br />
<br />

In an interview with Entertainment Portal Pep.ph on a set of Dear Uge in Masambong, Quezon City, Domingo confirmed that the Facebook page of the said movie has been updated.<br />

<i>"May greenlight na sa project naming ito... Same director and writer pa rin na sina Direk Marlon Rivera and Chris Martinez."</i> Eugene said.<br />

The movie will still include JM De Guzman, Kian Cipriano and Cai Cortez.<br />

Cannes, France - The Philippines brings home the bacon as actress Jaclyn Jose wins best actress at the recently concluded Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, May 22, for her performance as a mother urged to sell drugs to survive.<br />
<br />
The actress was teary-eyed when she accepted the award for her role in Brillante Mendoza's Ma' Rosa.<br />
<br />
Jaclyn told the reporters, "The biggest challenge for me was not to act. Especially since I am coming from television shows where I play loud and campy characters".<br />

James Reid had a minor knee injury couple of days ago during the US Leg of 'JaDine in Love' but this doesn't stop the charming actor to share his version of the "running man" challenge.<br />

In an Instagram video of Viva Artist Agency, the 23-year-old actor and half of JaDine was seen doing the "running man" challenge despite his casted knee.<br />

Using his personal Twitter account, James shared his video captioned as "no more running man so we got the crip walk".<br />

Actor Baron Geisler finally breaks his silence regarding the viral video showing him 'assaulting' a student. The said video was uploaded on Facebook by UP student Khalil Versoza.<br />

Geisler was supposed to guest last night on Tonight With Boy Abunda but decided to cancel  the said guesting.<br />

Talk show host Boy Abunda confirmed that he was able to talk to the actor where in he said that he was not drunk and the video was not a social experiment, meaning it's real. Baron said that he already apologized to the students but somewhat surprised why they still uploaded the video.<br />
