Last Sunday, Jaclyn Jose was named Best Actress for her role in 'Ma' Rosa' in the Cannes Film Festival which made every Filipino proud. Today, another Filipino actor brings home the bacon.

Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca has another award to be added on his achievements. Cuenca was named Best Actor at the World Cinema Festival Brazil 2016 for the movie 'Mulat' which apparently also won as the Best Narrative Feature at the said festival.

Directed by Diane Ventura, 'Mulat' is a pscyhologial thriller featuring a love triangle between a woman named Sam (Loren Burgos) and her fiance Vincent (Ryan Eigenmann), and her new man, Jake (Jake Cuenca).

Aside from 'Mulat', Ventura's 'The Rapist' starring Marco Morales and Cherrie Gil was also included in the short film selection of the film festival.

Star Magic posted a photo via his Instagram congratulating the Kapamilya actor for his acting award.

Jake also posted on Instagram thanking the cast and the people behind the movie 'Mulat'. He wrote in the caption: To God be the glory. congratulation to everyone involved in this movie and congratulations to my director @mariadianeventura.
