Viva Films and Star Cinema will be going in a battle as their movies will be shown in Cinemas today, May 4.
'Just The 3of Us' starring John Lloyd Cruz and Jennylyn Mercado will go neck to neck to 'This Time' top-billed by James Reid and Nadine Lustre also known as the kilig love team JaDine.
The Star Cinema movie was supposed to be shown last week but the management decided to move the date today as an international film Captain America: Civil War was shown in April 27. With an international movie shown in the supposed original screening of 'Just the 3 of Us', this might affect the earnings of the movie.
This leaves Viva Films no choice but to battle 'Just The 3 of Us' with their own movie 'This Time'
JaDine's movie however was graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB), making the Viva-produced movie entitled to a 100% tax rebate. John Lloyd and Jennylyn Mercado's film on the other hand was graded B, making them eligible for a 50% tax rebate.
Which film will capture the heart of moviegoers and which movie will win this battle?
