Three talented individuals coming from different humble backgrounds captured the heart of the audience and the judges, making them the first celebrity team to win "We Love OPM" on Sunday.
Tres Kantos, composed of Bugoy Drilon, Jovit Baldovino, and "Tawag ng Tanghalan" semi-finalist Dominador Aviola", earned 97 "Love hearts" from the viewers and Martin Nievera. Tres Kantos is mentored by Prince of Pop Erik Santos.
Tres Kantos rendered the song "Ikaw ang Lahat sa Akin" popularized by the Concert King himself Martin Nievera, who commented, "Ito ang pinaka-best na vocal performance tonight. Itong grupo a to."
Trailing Tres Kantos was Yeng Constantino's group composed of Krissha Viaje, Ylona Garcia, and Alexa Ilacad with 96 "love hearts".
"It's a good version of the song. It really shows 'yung talent talaga ni Yeng, 'yung mga sounds na gusto ng lahat. What I can say is no matter how long you stay in the business, their sound will always be 'Yeng' (young)," Nievera said.
Tres Kantos receives P50,000 which will be donated to their chosen beneficiary, Casa San Miguel in Zambales.
Next week's epidose of "We Love OPM" features the songs of the one and only megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Hosted by Anne Curtis and Eric Nicholas, "We Love OPM" airs every Saturdays after "MMK" and Sundays after "Rated K".
