The much-awaited movie of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, popularly known as the phenomenal love team AlDub, is definitely a box-office hit.
Few hours after the movie was shown on its first day, GMA News Online reported that "Imagine You & Me", nearly grossed P13-million in which more than 5 million of the earnings came in Metro Manila while the rest came in provinces.
AlDub fans even organized block screenings in Robinsons Magnolia in cooperation with GMA Kapuso Foundation, as their way of helping charitable institutions and to show support to Alden and Maine.
However, entertainment site Lionheartv reports that some cinemas encountered "technical problems", leaving AlDub fans to get a refund for the movie ticket.
"Imagine You & Me" Director Mike Tuviera posted an announcement on Twitter regarding the incident.
"Guys, regarding the technical problems with some provincial theaters, we are working on solutions now. Not theaters’ fault. Ayusin po namin." Tuviera said.
"Imagine You & Me" is expected to be shown abroad. You can now catch the movie in your nearest cinemas.
