"I am proud to be a Kapuso", said Christian Bautista who recently renewed his contract with GMA Network on July 21, 2016, thus ending speculations that he'll return to ABS-CBN after his three-year contract expired.
The 34-year-old Filipino Balladeer signed a two-year contract with the network in the presence of GMA President and CEO Felipe Gozon and Senior Vice President for Entertainment Lilybeth Rasonable at the 16th floor of GMA Network Center.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Bautista said that he's happy to be with great people, great family and great support group.

Christian also said that one of the reasons why he renewed his contract with Kapuso Network is because of the role he landed in GMA's Epic Telefantasya Encantadia, as Apitong.
"The fact that the star of the Game of Thrones is in Encantadia, it's a big thing." Christian said.
Christian will also be doing a talent show with GMA but details are not yet allowed to be divulged.
"We can't say what it is yet. But things are rolling, the engines are heating up and we're ready to go."
