The most-awaited requel of GMA Network's Encantadia had its pilot episode on July 18, 2016, same time with ABS-CBN's Ang Probinsyano.
It was expected that the telefantasya will be able to beat the aksyon-serye, but seems that its magic is not enough to bring down the latter.
Coco Martin's 'Ang Probinsyano' registered a nationwide rating of 42.4% against 'Encantadia' which garnered a nationwide rating of 21%, according to media provider Kantar TNS.
'Ang Probinsyano' garnered 38.4% in Metro Manila and 45.2% in Rural areas, beating Encantadia with 24.1% and 18.8% respectively.
